Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2025

These terms govern your use of Sifra, a number-based email alias service that forwards incoming email to your real inbox.

1. Acceptance

By creating a Sifra account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Sifra Is

Sifra provides number-based email aliases that forward incoming emails to your real email address. Your Sifra number acts as a privacy layer between senders and your actual inbox.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Sifra to:

  • • Send or receive spam, phishing, or malicious content
  • • Impersonate others or engage in fraud
  • • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • • Abuse the service in ways that affect other users

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination.

4. Free Tier Limits

Free accounts are limited to 1 Sifra number and 50 forwarded emails per month. We reserve the right to adjust these limits with notice.

5. Number Ownership

Sifra numbers are licensed to you, not owned. We reserve the right to reclaim numbers from inactive accounts after 12 months or more of inactivity. Premium numbers purchased as one-time purchases are held indefinitely as long as your account remains active.

6. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Sifra acts solely as an email forwarding relay. We are not responsible for:

  • • Emails that fail to arrive at the destination due to spam filters, destination server rejections, or recipient mailbox issues
  • • Delays in email delivery caused by third-party infrastructure such as Cloudflare, Google, or ISPs
  • • Emails blocked or filtered by the destination email provider
  • • Service interruptions caused by factors outside our reasonable control

7. No Guarantee of Email Delivery

Sifra does not guarantee the delivery of any email. Email forwarding is provided on a best-effort basis. You acknowledge that email is an inherently unreliable communication medium, and that Sifra is not liable for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from:

  • • Non-delivery, late delivery, or misdirected emails
  • • Emails marked as spam by the destination provider
  • • Emails lost during transmission through any network
  • • Interruption or failure of third-party email infrastructure
  • • Changes to third-party services that affect forwarding

For time-sensitive or critical communications, you should not rely solely on your Sifra number as your primary contact method.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your Sifra numbers are deactivated and email forwarding stops immediately.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Sifra does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sifra and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • • Costs of substitute services
  • • Any damages resulting from missed, delayed, or undelivered emails
  • • Any damages arising from unauthorized access to your account or forwarding address

In no event shall Sifra's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sifra and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email where possible.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tel Aviv, Israel, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
